myQ Internet gateway for controlling and checking the status of a compatible LiftMaster operator from the app. Connects to the router by Ethernet and requires an active Internet connection. An option sold separately for the EVX range; prescribed photocells are required for remote closing.

The gateway instructions require sectional doors and a connected photocell for closing through myQ. Without a photocell, only opening is permitted. Network gateway 828EV and safety adaptor ADP-1EVO serve different functions.
