Understand the product and prepare your project

The transmitter/receiver pair creates an infrared beam grid to monitor the opening of a sectional door, high-speed door or metal rolling shutter. When an interruption is detected, the photocell reports a state to the door control board; the automation’s response depends on its integration and settings.

Three modes are available: static, sequential for an opaque curtain, and sequential for a transparent curtain. In the latter case, the bottom of the curtain must remain opaque for at least 200 mm. Sequential operation distinguishes curtain movement from an interruption caused by an object.

The illustrated kit comprises two columns (transmitter and receiver), a control-board connection cable and a synchronisation cable. The 10 m MF2020-EXTCABLE communication extension is shown separately among the manufacturer’s accessories.

Functions and technical details

• Two operating-distance versions: 1–5 m or 5–10 m, selected to suit the opening width.
• 12–24 V DC supply; stated consumption 100 mA for 29 elements at 24 V DC.
• IP67; operating temperature −20 °C to +60 °C.
• NC relay output: 1 A at 30 V DC or 0.3 A at 125 V AC.
• Maximum response time 70 ms; supervision timer 265 ms.
• Stated speed in sequential mode: 1.4 m/s.
• Control-board-driven test input: pulse of at least 100 ms to GND (0 V), with relay switching expected.
• Column alignment adjustable through 360° rotation; plug-in connectors.
• LED indication of photocell state and beam obstruction.
